Chinese Style Lamb Cutlets

Lamb cutlets are a very popular dish served at lunch, dinner and breakfast. These delicacies have a rich history and a tradition that goes back hundreds of years. They first became popular in America during the colonial era and were originally called lamb pies. The name stuck due to the large quantities of meat used to make them.

Lamb cutlets are a healthy but tasty cut that only takes minutes to prepare. The most traditional method to prepare them is either to grill or barbecue the meat tenderizing the tenderloins, which also helps make the dish more flavorful. Always remove the lamb loin from the refrigerator an hour before cooking to help it come to room temperature, then preheat the oven an additional 10 minutes on each side to cook the meat tenderizing it even more. If using the charcoal BBQ method, you should wait until the coals are hot before adding the mixture to the meat to avoid burning.

To prepare the lamb cutlets recipe, you will need a medium-sized pan or skillet and one to two tablespoons of olive oil. Using a fork, gently mix the olive oil and butter into the pan fried lamb cutlets. Cover the lid of the pan and leave for about five minutes until the mixture becomes crisp and brown. Serve hot.

For a lighter meal, serve your meat with some salad. Salads usually contain spinach and other leafy greens, so you can easily make a veggie salad. You can use a handful of baby carrots, celery sticks, sprouts, halved cucumbers and baby tomatoes to mix into your veggie salad. To brighten up the taste of your meat, you can add some lemon slices and parsley. This makes a tasty treat that everyone will love! To make the salad stand out more, you can place lemon slices on top of the meat once it is cooked.

For a cold appetizer, serve your lamb cutlets with a pakoras recipe prepared with coriander seeds, dried mint leaves, and hot mustard. Bring to a medium heat, and then add some salt, pepper and paprika to taste. Let this condiment heat up for a few minutes, and then serve warm.

The best way to cook Chinese style lamb cutlets is by allowing them to marinate. You can marinate these thin sliced delicacies for up to three hours in a clean shallow pan, or in the refrigerator, putting them in the original container in which they were packed. You can serve them right from the marinade, or let them rest in the marinade overnight. These tender cuts make wonderful main dishes and appetizers, and are especially delicious when served with steamed vegetables.
