Creamy Basil Dip

The other day we were headed over to a party and I had offered to bring a veggie tray. I could have brought Black Bean Hummus, {Easy & Quick} Fresh Veggie DipBlack Bean Dip, or even Slow Cooker Hummus, but I wanted to make something different to use up some of the fresh basil that is overtaking the pots on the porch.

This basil dip is made with sour cream, lots of fresh basil, dill, a few other herbs and just a splash of lemon juice to balance the creaminess from the sour cream. You could substitute yogurt for part of the sour cream if you’d like. This recipe certainly turned out to be a winner and several people at the party commented on how much they enjoyed the dip. If you’ve got 5 minutes, then it is certainly worth it to make a homemade dip. The flavor is so much better and you avoid all the additives found in a pre made dip.
