Welcome! If you’re new here, thanks so much for stopping by. If you are a returning visitor, please take a minute to look this over, as the guidelines for the recipe swap have changed.
- Link up your recipes that use real, whole foods, any healthy living tips or information that involve a healthy lifestyle such as natural cleaning solutions, homesteading. gardening tips etc…
- Please, do not link up any recipes with white flour or white/brown sugars. I hate to be the food police, but I would like for this recipe swap to be a source for finding nourishing and healthy solutions that make us feel our best.
- Link up to 4 recipes/tips that you haven’t shared here before.

This showcase is all about featuring you! Next week we will feature some of the highlights from this week’s recipes.
I am so excited to announce that Whole Foods Wednesday will now be on 2 blogs every week!
Halle over at
Whole Lifestyle Nutrition also blogs about real food, healthy living and gardening tips and will now be co-hosting Whole Foods Wednesdays. Be sure to visit her and say hello!
PS- If you’re viewing this post via email,
click over to the website to see all the awesome recipes everyone shares and try to visit a few of the blogs who linked up and leave them a comment. I know we all love comments :)
Now, on to the fun stuff. Here are a few highlights from last week.
I’m new to your site so thought I’d hop in with an article I wrote about ‘saving money’ on foods ☺ The Magic Shell idea sounds great! I’m always searching for ways around dairy for my daughter and the ‘chocolate covered strawberries’ sound like a wonderful idea. She would go nuts over something like that!
Thanks, Mary!
I love that you’ve moved over to a healthy/whole foods linky party! I’m considering doing the same with my Thursday party but haven’t quite had the guts to make the leap yet.
I’ve linked up a Broccoli Quiche and my favorite Overnight Oats. Thanks for hosting!
Thanks, Amy! We did lose a fair amount of the posts that linked up each week, but I think it is better in the long run to narrow in on a more focused blog carnival so that you can find lots of recipes that will work for the way you want to eat. I didn’t realize you have a link up. I’ll have to check it out :)
Thanks for hosting! Have a great day!
Thanks, Lisa. You too!
Thanks for hosting Katie. Thanks for the idea on steaming eggs to make them easier to peel. I’ll have to try that!
I’m sharing a fascinating Interview with Gnowfglins founder Wardeh Harmon, also an article on How I Healed My Gluten Sensitivities (along with an embarrassing story), and a post on Gratitude.
Have a wonderful day :)
Thanks, France. Loved your post on gratitude :) Hope you have a fantastic day as well!
I tired to download both of your Linky buttons but couldn’t on my blog. Is is just me or is there something missing on those links? Love that you’ve gone to whole foods
Thanks, Debra. I didn’t realize there was an issue with the buttons. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention so I could fix it. Try getting the new code and it should work :)
Thank you for hosting. This is my first time posting (cedar planked salmon).
Welcome, Evelyn! Thats for linking up this week!
i adore the new changes Katie!! fresh and beautiful and healthy. i dig it.
this week i’ve linked up the contents from our CSA. Where do you get your veggies/ingredients from?
Mostly from a local farmer and the farmers market. I try to buy as much as possible locally and get eggs, milk, beef, raw cheese, veggies, chicken (when it is available) and some seasonal fruits :) LOVE my local farmers!
I shared my recipe for Fennel and Prosciutto Soup. This post also has information about the difference between fennel and anise (they are two totally different plants!)
Thanks for hosting!
Hmm. I am not familiar with the differences so I will definitely have to check it out. Thanks, Andrea :)
Thanks for hosting! I remembered this week to change the name of your party on my sidebar. :o)
No big deal, but thanks :) Hope your week is great, Mindy!
As I mentioned before – LOVE the new look of things!!
I’m stoked to take some time out this weekend and see what everyone has made / is doing / etc… if we can’t connect via these linky-parties, what’s the point?
This week I’m throwin’ out fish in a pinch: Fresh, seasonal pan seared Pacific halibut with oven roasted tomatoes, Saanich Organics (my CSA) braising greens, and cumin scented red quinoa. All in 30 minutes!!
Thanks so much for hosting. I shared a Grain-Free Carrot Cake Pancakes recipe. They are so delicious and easy to make. Thanks again.
