Simple Guacamole Recipe

Guacamole is so delicious and always a pleasure to enjoy when we’re out, but I had never thought to make it at home. Don’t put off trying it at home if you’ve never prepared guacamole before.  This easy guacamole recipe is a cinch to make- from the time you start prepping until you’re ready to dig in is just a matter of minutes. This dip would be perfect with some fresh veggies or corn tortilla chips.

What could be easier than mashing up some avocado and stirring in some juicy fresh tomatoes, cilantro and onion and finishing off with a splash of fresh lime juice? Yes, please. This sounds like summer days with a barbecue and a margarita on the deck. We have been having unseasonably warm weather out this way. Is it abnormally warm in your neck of the woods?

  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1-2 Tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • salt and pepper as desired

  1. Mash avocado with a fork until it reaches a thick, pasty texture with chunks. Stir in remaining ingredients and serve.
  2. If you want to prepare the dip ahead of time, set the tomatoes aside and stir in just before serving.
