The Candida Epidemic

Do you often feel tired, unable to focus or have unexplained chronic fatigue?

Have you been to the doctor and your checkout came up “normal,” but you know that something in your body is off?

You may be suffering from the effects of Candida Albicans. It is often overlooked by many physicians, but it is estimated that 70% of the population has had it at some point.

Everyone has candida naturally occurring in their intestines, but it can become overgrown, spread throughout your system and cause lots of problems

The list of possible symptoms is surprising:

  • Inability to focus
  • poor memory and brain fog
  • persistent extreme fatigue
  • hyperactivity
  • cravings for sugary sweets and alcohol
  • insomnia
  • digestion problems
  • gas
  • chronic post-nasal drip
  • headaches
  • athlete’s foot
  • yeast infections
  • IBS
  • Crohn’s disease
  • diaper rash
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
A Candida problem can be caused by a number of reasons, including a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugar(even natural sugars such as those found in dried fruits, maple syrup etc..), antibiotic use, stress or even birth control pills.

If you suffer from some of these symptoms you may wish to take a quick survey to determine if candida may be causing your troubles.

I wanted to bring this up because it is such a common problem, and yet it is so often overlooked.

If you think you may have candida overgrowth, you may wish to try following a candida diet or seek the care of a naturopath.

Note: I am not a doctor and you should consult your physician before making any changes.

  • I read about this awhile ago and had many symptoms..I'm not as fatigued anymore but I have other problems I've never been able to really pin point. One of my many reasons for trying to eat a vegan/gluten free diet. I have taken out most processed foods, if they are processed, it's healthy organic food items, that I always read the nutrition label on! I now eat fruits and veggies everyday, something I never did!! I'm hoping with in a month I will really see a difference! Doctors visits always turn out normal..well guess what? What I have is not normal! I've been doing much research and feel I can fix the problem on my own with diet and exercise! Thanks for sharing this!!!
