Healthy Christmas Gifts and Ideas {Week 12} Fun Treats Round-up

Do you enjoy making cute foods for holidays? I’ve always loved preparing special foods for Christmas to reflect the season, but I was afraid that switching to a real foods diet would rain on my parade of the sugar laden treats I used to make each holiday. This is our last week of the healthy Christmas series and I’ve come across so many amazing ideas to share that are really cute (and healthy) to boot! Some of them need to be adapted a little, and I’ve made suggestions reflecting my ideas on how I’d up the “good stuff” quotient for each one. Hope these ideas are helpful and prove that healthy food can be fun as well :)
These Santa hats would be great made with the whole grain brownies and using real whipped cream instead of icing for the hats.

This is just adorable. Wouldn’t it be cute on a Christmas buffet and it would be a fun project to have the kids help with!
Why didn’t I think of that? Wouldn’t some slow cooker hummus or poppyseed dressing be great with this tree?

This is so cute. You could make it using the whole grain brownies and use sucanat for the sweetener. Whole new mom has a tutorial on how to make your own healthier powdered sugar to use for frosting.

This would be somewhat of a splurge with the alcohol, but who doesn’t enjoy some treats around the holidays? You could use liquid stevia in place of the sugar.
Yum!
Wouldn’t this be an adorable snack for a kiddo?

Aren’t these just adorable? Cream cheese, olives and carrots. So yummy and so cute!

I hope you all enjoy making some of these special treats for/with the little ones in your life! We’re getting ready to start Christmas break here so lots of good times to come. Do you have any special must make recipes for the holidays?
